heather + andrew's wedding in Hawke's Bay
When Heather and I met the first time in a cafe in town I knew then that her and her fiance Andrew's wedding was going to be a delight for me to photograph. Heather had ideas about her wedding that I could totally relate to, the locations she was thinking of for the photos were places I really like myself, the colour scheme sounded fabulous in general and from a photographer's point of view. All of these ideas formulated in a very relaxed and pleasant way, which added to my initial enthusiasm. And I wasn't disapointed!

ruby + stella - portrait session
when Lorraine called me that day to ask me if I would like to photograph her grand daughters Ruby and Stella in her amazing shop (http://www.bluemooncollection.co.nz), informing me that Cushla (http://www.parlourbeauty.co.nz), my favourite, edgy and stylish make up artist around, was going to style the shoot as well as doing their make up and hair, I was very excited. Can you see why?!!
I think the photos speak for themselves... What great models, Ruby and Stella were amazing, thank you for being so happy and smiley all throughout the shoot :-)

Confetti, bubbles, petals, rice: add some magic to your wedding
Bonsoir!
I love confetti and soap bubbles, flower petals and rice (are these the only options? what else could be used instead?). They add such magic to a wedding ceremony. And of course to the resulting photos of that precious moment when guests throw in the air those light reflecting, glimmering, flying bits of paper or else after the tension and solemnity of the wedding ceremony are always fun and rather beautiful.
But confetti need not be confined to that particular moment. Look at this couple of whimsical photos taken by Greg Finck, an amazing wedding photographer based in France (www.gregfinck.fr).
